The VT Rte 31 Bridge/South Street bridge will be temporarily closed on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, to allow Green Mountain Power (GMP) to do temporary utility relocation within the bridge project limits. Normally GMP would be able to do this by just closing one lane, but since it’s already one lane in the center of the bridge, they need full access to do the work. The work is timed to take place during 10 am to noon.
If the weather is bad on Thursday, GMP will perform the work on Frida, June 27, 2025, at the same time. GMP will be using ADA traffic control to help with the closure.
